How do I obtain a worry-free bookkeeping?
A few tips to make your bookkeeping substantially easier
-
Use a separate bank account for your business transactions.
-
Keep track of all invoices and receipts to easily categorize your financial transactions and taxes.
-
Avoid surprises by doing your bookkeeping frequently throughout the year.
How much do you charge for your services and what is included?
I usually work at an hourly rate, which depends on the type and the complexity of the work. Feel free to contact me to get a pricing for your situation.

I aspire to be transparent about the work and time devoted to your business. An estimation of the workload will be provided before the start. Once going, regular updates will give you a clear view of completed tasks and scheduled work. I am always open for questions or concerns.
Where are you located?
I am located in Balderson, Ontario and I provide in-person services to businesses in Perth, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place, Westport, Kanata and Ottawa. Communication can happen over (video)calls, emails and/or in person, depending on your preferences and what is needed.
For clients outside of my local area, I offer virtual services to businesses across Eastern Ontario. Thanks to secure online tools and efficient communication methods, I am happy to assist clients no matter where they are located.

Can bookkeeping earn me money?
If done properly, yes! Many entrepreneurs start their business powered by passion and dedication. However, relying only on your instincts to make business decisions may not always lead to optimal results.
Bookkeeping isn't just about recording transactions or being tax compliant; it's about gaining clarity and insight into your business's financial health.

Therefore, my services will go beyond. Together we will look at the story behind your numbers and find opportunities to make your business more profitable.
Do I need an accountant and how do I find one?
I highly value an effective and trustful relationship between the business owner, their accountant and bookkeeper. We each have our strengths and together we can find a great synergy.
Local professional accountants can be found through your local Chamber of Commerce (Perth, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place) or the Small Business Advisory Centre. Feel free to ask me for references.
Can I do my own bookkeeping?
Of course. The decision to handle your own bookkeeping or delegate it, is purely a business decision depending on your situation and preference.

Why is your business called Second Banana?
The expression 'being someone's second banana' means to support someone so they can shine in their leading role. That is exactly the goal of my business: giving business owners peace of mind by getting their financial administration of their plate, so they can focus on their core business.
