Hi, I'm Katrien.
​
I’ve always been drawn to numbers, their patterns, their logic, and the stories they tell.
​
After I graduated as an engineer, I spent over a decade in the financial corporate world, working in different roles where I fine-tuned my analytical and problem-solving skills.
​
But what I enjoyed most was being the trusted partner, the sidekick, providing decision-makers with the support and insights they needed to focus on what they do best.
I started Second Banana because I saw small business owners struggling with their finances and administration. They didn’t just need bookkeeping, they needed clarity, structure, and someone to take the weight off their shoulders.

My goal with Second Banana is simple: to give entrepreneurs the freedom to focus on growing their business, knowing the financial side is handled.
Having lived and worked in Belgium, France, and now Canada, I’m comfortable navigating multi-currency finances and working in English, French, or Dutch.
